*AVP2 Division Server Rules*
To all players on SG AvP2 Servers:

In order to provide an environment for everyone's enjoyment, the following AvP2 Gaming Division Rules have been established by Stargate Command with the

direction and approval of the AvP2 GDL BFT and the clan CO (Marine Hard). Any updates/enhancements to the following rules

should be directed to the aforementioned members to be placed under official consideration.

The rules are divided in 3 sections: General, SGC Member, and Server Admin. Under each section, a title is given for easy reference followed by its

explanation.

Section I: General Rules (applies to all SGC and non-SGC personnel)

1. Spawn Killing: Simple rule that is universally accepted. If you spawn kill, you lose (and get booted in the process).

Camping near certain spawn points is considered an act to spawn kill (see additional rule below Areas Off-Limits). Similarly is placing Spider/Proxy Mines near

or on spawn points (see Weapon Whoring section b)

2. Back Killing: Killing a player while he/she lets you get off spawn. This is poor sportsmanship. Even though this is a

tough rule to gauge during gameplay, on some maps is real obvious and constitutes a bootable offense.

3. Abrupt Frontal Killing From Spawn Point ------After disengaging spawn kill protection----: It is unfair for an Alien to

pounce out of its spawn point under cover of semi invisibility. Similarly, Marines or Predators abruptly jumping out of spawn and firing a weapon is also

prohibited.

4. Weapon Whoring: The following weapons (listed below) should be used sparingly. Using these weapons in the extreme upsets

the balance of gameplay. If it is one individual player, this player may be put into FOM or kicked from the server after a warning, otherwise the admin also

reserves the right to BAN the weapon from gameplay.

a. Marine Grenade Launcher: Nade spamming of an area to achieve multiple kills.

b. Marine Grenade Launcher (Spider/Proxy Mines): The use of these types of grenades are limited to TWO per area per fight and if a player is found placing them

near a spawn point, that player will be considered Spawn Killing.

c. Predator Pistol/Plasma Caster: Continued use of Predator Pistol without using other Predator weapons.

d. Exosuit: The maximum number of times a human player can take the exosuit would be 3 per map. If a player abuses this it is left to the discretion of the

admin (or exosuits set to 0).

e. Marine Smart Gun: It is not the use of the Smart Gun by an individual but the number of people who collectively choose the smart-gunner class in any map. If

too many players take this class, the admin has the right to ban this weapon.

f. Predator Disk: While not an area of effect weapon, this is a tracking weapon, and as such follows closely with the Marine Smart Gun. It is not the use of

this weapon by an individual but the number of people who collectively choose to use this weapon. If too many players use this weapon, the admin has the right

to ban this weapon.

In our servers, the definition of spamming is the use of an area of effect weapon for more than 2 consecutive shots in a single fight. A single fight also

includes large groups.

5. Abusive Language (+ chat spamming): During gameplay, players may experience anger or frustration. While foul language is a

means of venting, if a player becomes abusive or denigrates (racial, religious, or foul language) other players and/or admins, this would be a bootable

offense.

Similarly the use of the word noob is also defined as Abusive Language. The term noob is defined by the SG_CMD to be a derogatory term used to describe a

players ability and skill level.

6. Lifecycle (Molt Killing): If a chestburster is found following another player and they are killed after molting, this is

the chestbursters fault and will not, nor shall be considered the other players fault or considered chestburster molt killing.

However, if a chestburster is not moving, and is trying to hide and is being camped or followed while trying to get away from the player following them, this

is considered chestburster molt killing.

If players are found doing either they will be kicked and or banned from the server.

7. Areas Off-Limits:

a. dm_quarantine map: Under no circumstances are players to engage in combat at the lower spawn level (basement) on this map.

b. dm_depot map: Players are allowed to enter the bunker area to grab ammo and armor/health. Players who are spawning in this area are not to engage in combat

and the same follows for any player entering and exiting this area. Players found attacking from or into the bunker area will be dealt with by the admin.

c. dm_leadworks map: Under no circumstances are players to engage in combat the dead end spawn tunnels.

dm_quarantine (entrance to "off-limits" area / lower spawn level)

dm_depot (bunker entrance facing spawn area)

dm_leadworks (Showing from inside dead end spawn tunnel)

8. Foreign Language: If a player wishes to use a language other than English (broken English accepted) this player will be

subject to suspicion of trying to gain knowledge on hacks, crashing the server, abuse to the admin and civilians in the server, as well as swearing and other

demeaning language. Due to these suspicions you may be kicked and or banned.

9. AFK Players: Players who are AFK more than 5 minutes will be kicked by the admin. This is due the large popularity of our

servers and we would like to give every player a chance to play in them. SG_CMD members are exempt from this rule.

10. Name Violation: Players entering the server with an offensive are subject to having their names changed and/or kicked

from server.

11. Player_0 (nublet_1) Names: Due to the large amount of "player_0's" we have entering our servers, and the

fact that some of these are banned/kick on site, it becomes hard to enforce a rule in which players are disguised by a John Doe name. As such, players using

the Player_0 name will be asked to change their name. Failure to do so will result in this player being kicked. Instructions are listed in the Player Guide

posted on this section of the forums.

12. Double Tap/Stagger Fire: The use of double tapping or stagger firering of the Sniper Rifle is prohibited. Players found doing so will be asked to stop. If they do not stop they will be kicked/banned from the server.

Section II: SGC Member-specific Rules

1. TeamSpeak: (TS / Comms) All SGC members should sign on to Comms before joining an SGC server. If a member has headset/mic

problems or does not have access to TS, he/she should notify Artax or Marine Hard.

2. Code of Conduct: All SGC personnel should play fair on any servers and play within these guidelines. We do not want to

defame the SG_Cmd name.

3. Disputes: Disputes amongst SGC members (including admins) should not be done through on an open channel on Comms. Any

disputes should be discussed in a private channel on TS or the Members Only section of the SGC Forums.

4. SG Tags: We are proud of being part of our clan. SGC members should always have their name [SG_Cmd] tags and rank on the

server in a format similar to:

Name + [SG_Cmd] + Rank

5. Stagger Fire: SGC members must ask on Comms if the use of stagger fire is allowed. If any member does not approve, then

stagger fire will be disabled temporarily. The AVP2 admin must inform civilians that the use of stagger fire is prohibited for the time being and that use of

it will result in punishment.

Section III: SGC Server Admin Rules

1. Advance Warning: Never boot a player without a warning first given. Sometimes, while in the heat of battle we tend to

forget the rules. A warning or two should be given to these players before taking disciplinary action (boot).

2. Troublesome Players: Exercise composure when dealing with troublesome players. If after a warning a player, the player

continually offends the admin, the admin can exercise the option to mute or boot the player from the server. If a player wishes to enter a complaint to SGC,

direct them to the SGC Forums.

3. Making Room for SGC Personnel: In the event that an SG server is full and a member of SGC wishes to join, the admin can

boot players in the following order (below) to make room for SGC players. It is a privilege for SGC players to be able to access our servers to play.

a. Players who were given a warning for an offense they made.

b. Players with 0 kills.

c. Anyone with the name Player_0 (the default AvP2 player name).

4. Corporates: SG-2 TDM is, basically, a Marine vs Alien Vs Predator Server. Admin may allow, upon SG_CMD Member request, a

specie change to Corporate class. However, if there is a member in the server with a known history of objecting to Corporates, this request must be denied. It

is recommended that the AVP2 Admin ask all members in the server if any object to the inclusion of Corporates. Corporate class conversions are never given to

civilians.

5. Restoring Server Default Settings: The following settings are defaulted: FF = Off, CW = On, Q = 5, PM = Off, X = 1. These

settings can ONLY be changed by a Server Admin for good reason. For example - FF can be turned "on" if there are spammers or, periodically, for

weapon accuracy training. The exo may be removed if it is being used excessively and if "balance" between the species is needed.

It is an absolute requirement that ALL admin check to see if the default settings have been changed before they assume control (by pressing F3). If the default

setting was changed, and not restored by the previous admin, the new admin on duty must ICQ to MH, Tears of Blood and Pulser and issue a violation report

giving the date and time when this was first noticed.

Leaving non-default settings on the server for more than 2 or 3 maps discourages civilian use of the server, as they are usually unpopular.

Admin, who do not restore the default settings, before relinquishing server control, will be stripped of their position.

6. IP Banning: Admin must follow the following policy regarding IP Banning of players in/out of game.

Players who are identified, or suspected, of hacking are to be banned by the admin, and a report given to the AVP2 GDL and MH.

If you kick someone and they repeatedly come back into the server - you may ban them on their THIRD entry back into the server.

Section IV: SGC Survivor Server Rules

1. No teaming up in TAG mode: It's unfair to other players if clan mates or friends agree not to kill each-other in TAG

2. Spawn killing in TAG mode: The spawn protection time is shorter in SURVIVOR game mode and every marine has the right to "stand still" during the TAG period. If a marine is standing still at his spawn point and is killed in TAG mode, it's considered a spawn kill.

3. Back killing: - It's not allowed for a marine to kill other marine in TAG if he lets him out of spawn, and same goes for the survivor mode - aliens are not allowed to pounce out of spawn or back kill marines.

4. Spamming weapons: Weapon restrictions stay the same as in the other SG-2 servers - no more than 2 nades per fight, and placing no more than 2 nades in the "camp" area.

In SG-2 SURVIVOR server the Smartgun and the SADAR tracking rockets are banned by default.

* Last man standing * - the last survived marine is allowed to use all weapons and as many nades as he needs.

5. AFK players: The nature of SURVIVOR game mode does not allow for players to automatically go in observation mode. So AFK players are only holding up the game and are to be kicked by the admin. Players in game have to report any AFK players to the admin.

6. Camping: Players are allowed to camp but keep in mind that if ten marines are camping on one or two aliens the admin reserves the right to KILL random marine, simply because its poor sportsmanship and it's UNFAIR to the aliens. We do not approve camping because it's a cowardly act and the player's true qualities cannot be shown.

7. Using glitches: This is strictly forbidden. Getting in the ceiling glitch in Colony map makes it impossible for the aliens to reach\kill the "survivor". Also getting in between the wall and the pipe in Lucifersfate is not allowed.
